Principal's Message
Take a tour through our campus, and you will find not only the smiling, expectant faces of students, but classrooms bursting with energy and activity. At the very center of school life, children talk excitedly about new discoveries, proudly and respectfully take care of each other and their learning environments, and are given the time, the support, and the materials to construct knowledge for themselves in ways that imprint 21st century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, leadership, cultural competency, and real life problem solving.
Apple Montessori is firmly grounded in Montessori principles and lives this out through the expertise and guidance of highly trained, Montessori-credentialed teachers. What this means to those less familiar with Maria Montessori’s teachings, is that Montessori trained teachers are experts in child development, brain-based research, and guiding children into their love of lifelong learning and into the best selves they can be. Apple Montessori students from 18 months to 6 years old benefit of trained adults who not only nurture and educate, but who do so by tapping into the intrinsic curiosity within each child. From this strong foundation, teachers guide students to build, grow and become the creative, academically powerful, and intellectually strong graduates who we send off to 1st grade to an impressive and varied array of primary school options.
